Qari Bridge (Qari qorpousi)

Qari Bridge is one of the oldest and unique bridges of Tabriz related to Qajar era. With 8 openings (arches), it was originally established on median chayi (Quri River) to connect shamsolemareh palace of Tabriz to northern parts of the city by the sponsorship of an elderly women (The word Qari means "elder woman" in Azerbaijani language).
Unique & firm architecture, beautiful arches, ram-headed capitals and precious lights are some of its important features.
Qari Bridge was registered as number 2921 in the list of Iran's national relics in 2000 due to its historical –architectural importance.
